This kit is used for quantitative detection of AFP in human serum in vitro. AFP is a polypeptide glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 70kD, which is composed of 590 amino acid residues and contains 4% sugar. The sugar chain on 232 asparagine is N-sugar chain. The sugar chain is mainly composed of mannose, galactose, n-acetylglucose and sialic acid. The composition of AFP sugar chain is different in different tissues, and AFP sugar chain is carcinoembryonic. AFP is mainly used for auxiliary diagnosis and screening of liver cell carcinoma (HCC), germ cell tumor and other diseases.
