The kit is used for quantitative determination of human serum ferritin (FER) in vitro. Ferritin fer is a kind of glycoprotein with molecular weight of 450000, which has high content in liver, spleen and bone marrow. Each ferritin molecule can store 4500 iron atoms. Ferritin is also involved in cell metabolism, cell proliferation and immune regulation. Ferritin has two subunits: liver type (L type) and heart type (H type).
